A new day, another new directive. Thank you for your patience as we continue to modify our policies and protocols to meet what appears to be ever changing guidelines. Consistent with the most recent Court Directives The Layne Project, Inc must continue to provide only virtual supervised parenting time and therapeutic parenting time, but will resume supervised exchanges 3/26/20.
Absent an agreement of the parties, a families’ participation in virtual supervised parenting time is not optional if supervised parenting time was previously ordered by the Court. Per the most recent Johnson County Court directive, “Supervised parenting time through third-party providers shall continue if it can be done remotely or virtually. Parents shall be cooperative and flexible with each other and their service provider as protocols are modified.” If you receive supervised parenting time or therapeutic supervised parenting time through TLP and you have not already scheduled virtual parenting time, please do so as soon as possible.
Effective 3/26/2020 we will resume Supervised Exchanges Services. In order to be compliant with the Department of Health Guidelines, our protocols have had to be temporarily modified. Please see the attached Services Offered During COVID-19 Pandemic Amended 3.25.20 document for more information. If you have regular exchanges with TLP we have automatically placed your family back on our schedule. If we have had to modify the time of your exchange we will notify you separately. If you are a TLP Supervised Exchange Parent, please review the and sign the Memorandum of Understanding of Supervised Exchanges During the COVID-19 Pandemic, and return the same to The Layne Project, Inc offices as soon as possible. If you do have questions please ask those BEFORE your next scheduled exchange.
