Lori graduated from the University of Kansas in 2003 with a master’s degree in social work. She began her social work career at Children’s Mercy Hospital, where she spent twenty years focusing on trauma and crisis response, adverse childhood experiences, emotional and behavioral struggles, and complex medical care. In 2017, Lori transitioned to child and family therapy in a private practice setting specializing in children of divorce, parent-child reunification, co-parenting, parenting, child emotion regulation, and child & teen transitions. Lori is a certified Play Therapist (CPT) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT). Her additional post-graduate training is in Child and Teen Mindfulness Therapy, Art Therapy, Trauma Informed Care, and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy.
Fun Fact: Lori loves ocean life, beaches, and beach towns. You will always find a hint of these on her and in her home.
